About the Ballot

The Public Ballot, introduced in 1924, has always been substantially oversubscribed.   Entry does not automatically entitle applicants to tickets for Wimbledon, but a place in the draw for tickets.

It is not possible to request tickets for specific days or courts, as the day and court offered are chosen randomly by a computerised selection process.

Roland Garros - Second Round

The second-round of singles play at the 2013 French Open will continue on Thursday from Roland Garros with some intriguing matchups!

The two favorites in the men's draw, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, will both be in action as they look to advance to the third round, a step closer to a potential semifinal collision next week.

Reigning Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka will take to the court for the second straight day after rain forced her to play her first-round match on Wednesday.

AUSSIE Sam Stosur will play Kristina Mladenovic for the first time when the pair meet in the second round of the French Open.

Roland Garros - First Round

Has seen both Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova both registered their first round wins in men and women singles respectively to kickoff their campaign to defend their titles of last year's French Open.

The 2013 French Open is a tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts.   It is the 112th edition of the French Open and the second Grand Slam event of the year taking place at the Stade Roland Garros from 26 May to 9 June 2013.

The tournament is an event run by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and is part of the 2013 ATP World Tour and the 2013 WTA Tour calendars under the Grand Slam category.

The tournament is played over a series of twenty courts, including the three main showcourts, Court Philippe Chatrier, Court Suzanne Lenglen and Court 1.

Wimbledon 2013 prize money up 40%

Prize money will total £22.6m, up £6.5m on 2012, with the men's and women's singles winners receiving £1.6m each.

The prize money on offer to the winners of the men's and ladies' singles winners was made the same in 2007 and will rise 40% from the £1.15m that champions Roger Federer and Serena Williams received in 2012.

Two weeks of Tennis…

Who will win Wimbledon 2013?

Wimbledon 2013 gets underway on 24 June and will finish with the Men's final on 7 July.

Already, the big stories loom over the 127th edition of tennis' biggest tournament. Can Roger Federer add an eighth Wimbledon title to his impressive collection? Will Andy Murray be fit in time? Has Rafa Nadal still got what it takes? Are the Williams sisters' still the ones to beat?

Roger Federer added his seventh Wimbledon title last year, deafeating the popular Brit Andy Murray, in four sets winning his 17th Grand Slam title.

While Serena Williams' win over Agnieszka Radwanska was her fifth title also winning the Women's Doubles title with her sister, Venus.
