Roger Federer out of the French Open...

Roger Federer went down at Roland Garros to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga eliminated the major threat for most of the remaining men in the 2013 French Open.

The Frenchman's 7-5, 6-3, 6-3 win over the Swiss legend catapulted him into the semifinals of his country's hallowed tournament for the first time in his career.   With the field trimmed to six, at least four of the men should be at least a little happy to see Tsonga dismiss Federer.

Tsonga's next opponent will be Spanish veteran and clay-court specialist David Ferrer.

Ferrer is a game competitor, and beaten Tsonga two of the three times they've faced off, so his confidence should be high and he should be filled with a renewed sense of hope of reaching his first French Open final.
